Close quarter combat on the approaches to Bakhmut, Ukrainian border guards repelled another attack by Russian assault groups.

Both sides have claimed potentially significant success over the past day around Bakhmut. So far, neither has provided sufficient evidence. We will know soon enough. "Time will tell"

General Updates:

The Biden administration is working with Congress to approve $10 billion in aid to Ukraine. The new package is expected next week. The same goes for new sanctions against the Kremlin which will likely be introduced next week.

The Netherlands has received Ukraine's request for the supply of F-16 fighter jets, Minister of Defense Kasja Ollongren said during the Ramstein-format meeting in Brussels.

Canadian Minister of Foreign Affairs Mélanie Joly visited Zelenskyi in Kyiv today. Canada also announced that the 4 Leopard 2A4 tanks that it donated to Ukraine are already in Poland and Ukrainian tankers are training with them.
